Milling Equipment for the Calcium Carbonate Industry

Calcium carbonate minerals vary from hard to soft, with a primary composition of CaCO3, and most commonly referred to as limestone, dolomite, chalk, and marble depending on its natural composition. High-grade rocks, which have higher calcium content and low silica levels, are particularly valuable because of their use across a wide range of applications, including animal feed, fertilizer, and white paints.

Bradley Mills are in high demand for calcium carbonate milling because of their exceptionally low kilowatt-per-ton power consumption. With growing demand for both fine and coarse calcium grit, the economic benefits can be further enhanced by adding a divorced classification system, allowing multiple grit sizes to be captured in a single run.

Environmental Benefits – By implementing a divorced classification system, multiple grit sizes can be produced at the same time for more diverse product applications with negligible increases in power consumption and up to $100,000 in savings compared to multiple runs.
